PRODUCING THEATRE FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES

I believe theatre for young audiences is one of the most important forms of live theatre.

I developed the Literature Alive Project in 2012 with co-founders  Ron Morse, Suzy Roberts and Marcus Osborn.  Literature Alive brings classic literature to life through free public performances.  Over 15,000 people have attended Literature Alive over the past 11 years and distributed about 10,000 free books to early readers.  After the show, every child leaves the library with a new book and inspiration from the magical show they've just experienced!

Be Theatre in San Angelo, Texas continues to produce Literature Alive every year. I ended my time as founding Artistic Director at  Be Theatre in 2022  when I moved to Austin,  but the legacy continues under new leadership and is as vibrant as ever.  This is one of my greatest achievements in live theatre, and I am eternally grateful to those that supported this endeavor and have kept it at the forefront of Be Theatre's mission.
